Welcome to the first instalment of Austin Andrew's “Introducing...” series.

This week we hear from James Willacy. James is Austin Andrew’s MD. He handles the day-to-day running of the firm whilst also recruiting into a variety of non-investment disciplines across the buy-side. He started out at Austin Andrew as a graduate and went on to lead the management buyout a few years ago. Find out more about James from when we sat down with him and asked 7 quickfire questions:

Where is your favourite place in London?

You're stranded on a Desert Island, what three things would you take?

A barbecue, a beach cricket set and a fishing rod

What do you spend too much money on?

Nappies!

Do you know any interesting facts?

Pickles the dog recovered the world cup (after it was stolen) in 1966 on Beulah Hill, very close to my home in South London!
