An International Banking organisation with offices in various UK and overseas are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their expanding Finance team.

Reporting in to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

Working closely with branches to obtain information covering:
Preparing VAT returns and regulatory returns based on the reporting guidelines
Revenue and expense budgets monitoring
Internal regulatory liquidity reporting
Reconciliation of Branch Bank accounts and finding appropriate resolutions
Cover for other team members and performing adhoc tasks as and when required

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc.) and have experience in a similar role. You will be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of the accounts payable process, reconciliation and financial reporting. Ideally you will have previous experience using Sage 50 and will have a good ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels.

Based in the City of London, this role is paying up to £40,000 plus bonus and benefits.
